Television personality, cookbook author and businesswoman Martha Stewart announced her collaboration with Canopy Growth Corp., one of the world’s biggest marijuana company.

Stewart will serve as Canopy’s advisor, overseeing development of cannabis products safe for both humans and pets.

For the first project, Stewart will be creating products that people can give to their loving companion. As CBD continues to show significant effects on both human and animals, these kinds of products are in-demand. Aside from treats, Stewart will be developing various types of CBD products that will surely benefit precious pets.

Stewart’s involvement with marijuana started in 2016 with her cooking show, Martha & Snoop’s potluck Dinner Party. It is a game-changer, hosting the show with rapper and long-time cannabis advocate Snoop Dogg. In the show, the two are making recipes with marijuana as one of the major ingredients.

Meanwhile, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration still prohibits CBD to be mixed with food. However, there are companies like Constellation Brands who are signing a deal with Canopy to develop drinks containing pot.

Since the legalization of recreational use of cannabis, many companies are jumping on the bandwagon to cater to the demand of people.
